Mother, son hit by pickup truck in Berrien Springs, mother airlifted

Police were called to the intersection of Ferry and North Main Streets in Berrien Springs around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

Police say a mother and son were hit by a pickup truck while they were crossing the street.  

The driver of the truck was turning from the light onto M 139.

MedFlight was called to the scene to airlift the mother to a South Bend hospital. 

The son was treated for minor injuries, but there is no information on the mother’s condition at this time.
