Motorcycle and vehicle accident on State Road 23

A crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck happened on State Road 23 near Edison Road at approximately 8:39 p.m. Tuesday. 

Witnesses say the driver of the truck was in the right lane to turn onto Edison Road and the motorcycle was trying to turn left into Mulligan’s Bar and Grill. 

The motorcycle and the truck collided in the right turn lane. 

Sources say the male motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital for a possible fracture of his right leg but has no life threatening injuries. 

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured in the crash. 

Officers from the South Bend Police Department are clearing the scene and say all lanes are open.
