MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- The Marshall County Sheriff's Office reports county dispatch received a call around 2:42 p.m., Saturday, regarding a motorcyclist crashing into a tractor.

Deputies say the collision occurred in the 15000 block of U.S. 6, just west of Pine Road.

Authorities' initial investigation determined a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle, ridden by 38-year-old Michael Fisher of Walkerton, was attempting to pass a turning 2020 Massey-Ferguson tractor, driven by 20-year-old Caleb Gardner of Rochester.

Deputies say due to the nature of the collision, Fisher was airlifted to the hospital by Lutheran Air Ambulance.
