Motorcyclist arrested after fleeing police, crashing

GOSHEN, Ind. -- A motorcycle driver was arrested after crashing while fleeing from deputies, according to Goshen Police.

Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed near Lincoln Avenue and Second Street Thursday evening.

The motorcycle led deputies on a high speed pursuit, which ended in a crash, police said.

Medics were called but the driver refused treatment.

Jorge Gonzalez, 33, was taken into custody on preliminary charges of fleeing law enforcement in a vehicle, resisting on foot, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, possession of methamphetamine, reckless driving, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
