Motorcyclist injured in accident on SR 13

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- A motorcyclist was injured in an accident at SR 13 and CR34 just east of Goshen Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, the motorcycle was southbound on SR 13 and was entering the intersection with CR34 when a van turned onto SR13 into the path of the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, 44-year-old Terry Fry of LaGrange, was airlifted to South Bend Memorial Hospital for fractures to his lower left leg.
The sheriff's department says Fry was not wearing a helmet and was cited for operating a motorcycle without a motorcycle endorsement.
The driver of the van was cited for failure to yield.
