According to Michigan State Police, troopers were dispatched at 10:30 Saturday evening to a complaint of shots fired at the Riverside Estates mobile home park in Buchanan.

Troopers heard gunshots coming from one of the lots, and they reported seeing smoke come from within the mobile home, which quickly was engulfed in flames.

Troopers evacuated some of the nearby residents and secured the perimeter because they were unsure if there were other suspects in the area.

Fire crews responded, but couldn't approach the home on fire because there was ammunition going off inside. 

Once firefighters extinguished the fire, they entered the mobile home and discovered a body.

The person's identity has not been released.
