MSP conducting investigation into death of inmate

An inmate at the Berrien County Jail was pronounced deceased Thursday morning, according to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office.
At 7:30 a.m. 35-year-old Nicholas Alan Jaeger was found unresponsive.
Jail deputies and medical staff rendered emergency aid until paramedics arrived.
Efforts at reviving the inmate were unsuccessful.
The sheriff’s office asked the Michigan State Police to conduct an investigation.
