Military members and vets get free professional golf training
Michigan State Police is helping raise $1 million for the Michigan Special Olympics by participating in one of Michiana’s Polar Plunge events in February.
The troopers looking to help with fundraising will take a freezing dip into Lake Michigan in a few weeks.
“We work for the community. This is just one more step, giving a voice to these athletes. And, in another way, it helps kind of humanize what we do as a profession and shows that we can go out and we can have fun, go and do an event like this, and we're just people like everybody else,” said Adam Kowalk, MSP trooper of the Niles Post.
Troopers will jump into the bone-chilling waters on February 5.
