Notre Dame's women's basketball team headed to 9th straight conference title game
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Notre Dame Women's Basketball team is headed to the ACC Tournament Final for the fifth consecutive year in a row, according to a press release from the university.
Head Coach Muffet McGraw's team beat the Florida State Seminoles 90-80 on Saturday.
Marina Mabrey had a season high 27 points in the win.
After the game coach McGraw stated in a press release, “We were much better in the second half where they only had two threes. I thought Marina Mabrey had just a gutty performance. She just did absolutely everything we needed her to do.”
Notre Dame is now 8-0 in the all-time series with Florida State and continues their perfect 14-0 streak in ACC Tournaments.
Although this is the 5th straight ACC Tournament title game the Irish will play in, it is also the 9th straight conference championship game that the Irish have played in. The Irish have won every championship game since 2013, according to a press release from the university.
