Multiple developments take shape across Southwest Michigan
ST. JOSEPH/BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- ABC57 got a first look Wednesday at a series of new developments happening across Southwest Michigan.
Harbor Shores has teamed up with the city of St. Joseph to revitalize Paddler Park, the site of the old St. Joseph water tower.
Currently, the park is mostly abandoned, but will eventually feature a multi-use building with a dedicated canoe/kayak launch and restrooms for visitors.
Harbor Shores also provided ABC57 a behind-the-scenes look at a larger development just one plot of land over from Paddler Park. That development will feature around 200 housing options, a hotel, a restaurant, a deep water marina and much more.
Over in Benton Harbor, Mayor Marcus Muhammad sat down to share more on “Project T”, a transformational development happening on the old Mercy Hospital property.
“Project T” is set to begin construction in July.
