NAPPANEE, Ind. -- Nappanee neighbors – get ready for the holiday season!
Christmas festivities return this Saturday in Downtown Nappanee, with the Christmas parade taking place at 7P.M.
Different local groups will follow a new route through town, starting at Nappanee Elementary School, then heading down US 6 to the Downtown Pavilion, all while handing out candy from vehicles decorated with lights and other Christmas accessories.
After the parade, neighbors are invited to downtown pavilion for cookies, hot chocolate, music and the lighting of the town’s Christmas tree.
You can also register your business or home for the town’s Christmas lighting and decorating contest now through December 7th.
Businesses will be judged by the exterior and interior, with a grand prize of $50 and a plaque.
Registered homes must be within city limits and prizes include $100 dollars to 1st place – $75 to 2nd and $50 to 3rd.
These events bring neighbors and families of Nappanee together year after year, and community engagement is something that is important to the town.
