Nappanee Public Library’s Summer Reading Challenge sets June start-date
NAPPANEE, Ind. -- The Nappanee Public Library’s Summer Reading Challenge: Ocean of Possibilities kicks off on June 1 with prizes up for grabs for those who complete the challenge.
To complete the challenge, readers must record 1,000 minutes of reading time.
Readers of all ages can participate by logging the minutes that they read between June 1 and July 15. The more minutes that a participator reads, the more rewards they can earn, with prizes such as a Nintendo Switch Lite, Airpods, gift cards and a squishmallow.
Those who participate are allowed to record minutes for reading paper books, magazines, eBooks or even listening to audiobooks. Reading to children or listening to stories read by others counts for points as well.
The Nappanee Public Library will also hold a kickoff party on June 1 with an ice cream bar and scavenger hunt from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Summer Reading Challenge is open to Nappanee residents, students and reciprocal cardholders only.
