NAPPANEE, Ind. -The Nappanee woman shared her story via a petition, as her last plea for help.
You can check out the petition here.
But the DNR says it’s more hurtful than helpful to bring wildlife in as a pet.
She is now facing Class C misdemeanor charges for unlawful hunting of a migrating bird.
The DNR did not comment on where “Goosey” is now, but they told the woman he would be rehabilitated back into the wild, but for now he’s at a sanctuary with other birds.
