National Trails Day photo contest, scavenger hunt at Indiana Dunes June 4
INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL PARK – Celebrate National Trails Day at Indiana Dunes National Park with a photo contest and family Trash Trekkers scavenger hunt.
On June 4, head to the Dunes to pick up trash, search for different types of wildlife, and take photos of your wildlife findings.
Submit up to three of your best photos from National Trails Day for a chance to be featured on the Dunes’ Facebook page.
Participants can stop by the Dunes Visitor Center between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to get trash bags and scavenger hunt sheets.
Park fees will be waived and temporary volunteer fee waivers will be issued for all scavenger hunt participants. Waivers are only valid on National Trails Day.
Participants are reminded to dress appropriately for the trail and to bring bug spray, sunscreen, and water.
