Navarre Middle School notified of threat allegedly posted on Snapchat

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – School officials from Navarre Middle School were notified Wednesday morning of a threat directed at the school that was allegedly posted on Snapchat.

In a letter to families, Interim Principal Isais Solis said the school became aware of the threat at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday morning and immediately contacted the South Bend Police Department.

Police began investigating and Navarre staff went into crisis management protocol.

A police officer stayed at Navarre throughout the school day and police conducted hourly check-ins.

Navarre’s security team will continue to monitor the building, the letter stated.

This is an ongoing investigation.
