NCAA President: Not taking anything off the table for Penn State
NATIONAL -- Happy Valley could not be Happy Valley much longer.
NCAA President Mark Emmert sat down and talked with Travis Smiley. And Emmert says that he's not ruling out any possibilities.
Emmert's statements come after the conviction of Jerry Sandusky on child sex abuse charges and a report released about how former Penn State head football coach Joe Paterno and other school officials covered up the allegations about Sandusky.
"I don't want to take anything off the table. I have never seen anything as egregious as this in terms of overall conduct inside a university and hope never to see again," Emmert said.
The only football program ever to be shut down was Southern Methodist University's football program in 1987 when it was caught giving players money and other benefits violations.
