NOTRE DAME - The Fighting Irish were trailing the University of South Florida at halftime by sixteen, but to make things worse, storms shut down Notre Dame Stadium for a delay.
Fans and the Notre Dame Marching Band were asked to evacuate the stadium when the teams went into the locker rooms at halftime.
The Fighting Irish were down 0-16 at the half.
Many fans waited in the stadium for the game to get started again.
The third quarter got under way after a two hour and ten minutes delay.
