SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- Neighbors are speaking after two teenagers were shot on North Brookfield Street Sunday Night. South Bend Police identified the victims as 16-year-old Ajurin Blake and 18-year-old Nehemiah Watts.
“Last night I was laying the bed, I heard three shots and a few minutes later the police was out here,” said Barbara Watts.
Blake died as a result of his injuries. Watts was treated and released from the hospital Sunday night.
“There seems to be a serious lack of respect for life these days,” said another neighbor who did not wish to be named.
Officials are still working to identify suspects in this case.
