Netflix's 'Love is Blind' wants Michiganders to apply

DETROIT, Mich. -- The popular Netflix reality show "Love is Blind" is asking people from Michigan to apply to be on the next season of the show that pairs two singles together for a chance at love, while keeping their appearances hidden.

The show premiered in February of 2020 and is currently in its sixth season.

"Calling all single men and women who are brave, open-minded, and ready for a committed relationship," casting officials wrote. "Are you ready to find out if love is truly blind?"

The application consists of about 50 questions ranging from "Is finding love more important to you than being on television or gaining a following via social media," to "What is your COVID-19 vaccination status."

It also asks people to share their social media counts as well as upload a full body photo and 15-second video promoting why they think they should be chosen for the show.

The show's producers have been accused of misconduct towards contestants in the past, with three former contestants filing lawsuits against the show
