SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Garage Arcade Bar announced that they will again push back their grand opening in South Bend on Colfax Street.
The owners say that delay comes after the city requested that they add additional bathrooms. A water pipeline also needs to be installed to allow sprinkler systems to be connected.
The bar arcade was initially slated to open in the spring, but now the owners are aiming for the end of summer.
“We’re still planning to open,” Co-Owner Erik Johnson said. “We really want to open here. There’s a maybe a 5% chance to where the city says no. I’m really hoping that we still open before the summer. I mean September ideally, before football season starts too.”
Classic arcades that will be featured at Garage Arcade Bar include Blasteroids and Pac-Man in addition to skee-ball and other video games.
