SOUTH BEND, Ind.—A new barbershop has opened its doors on Edison Road in South Bend.
The Lather and Fade Shop celebrated the grand opening of its new location at 1639 Edison Road on Thursday.
Before moving into the new location, the team had to complete a full renovation of the ceilings, walls and floors.
“I think I got this one exactly how I wanted it to be,” said owner Jose Oropeza. “We got the walls right, the chairs right, and the stations right. I thought, that’s what a barbershop should be, old school. We’ve always been old school and we still are old school.”
It’s Lather and Fade’s third location in Michiana. The other two locations are in Elkhart and Granger.
The first 100 people with appointments at the new shop will receive one free styling product as part of the shop’s grand opening promotion.
