BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- Benton Harbor Area Schools recently approved a new policy regarding cell phones in the classroom.
The new policy bans cell phone use during school hours, with certain exceptions for school-related activities.
The policy is designed to remove distractions from the classroom during the school day.
ABC57's Jordan Hatfield spoke with Dr. Kelvin Butts, the superintendent of Benton Harbor Area Schools, about the implementation of this new policy.
