New Carlisle travels to help Indiana tornado victims

NEW CARLISLE, Ind. – The owner of Lookin’ Good Construction is hoping to help rebuild the spirits of those struck by the deadly tornado in Henryville, Indiana.

Gary Lawson is driving a truck full of supplies 240 miles to the surrounding Henryville area, but first he needs help from the community.

He’s asking people to bring in donations that he can drive to the tornado victims
“The thought process was, we have an empty truck here, just by chance, and we got time and we got a lot of community support,” said Lawson.
Lawson said he got the idea to help on Sunday night, and ever since people in the community have been dropping off donations.
“They can help with donations such as bottle water, toilet trees, any type of nonperishable food, and clean clothing,” said Lawson.
Lawson said they’ll be collecting donations at his business until the truck leaves at 2 a.m. Thursday.
“It takes the same amount of fuel to haul a partial truck, so hopefully the truck is full and it’s a successful maneuver,” said Lawson.
You can drop off donations at the following.
