New details released in fatal train accident in Mishawaka

MISHAWAKA, Ind. - The Mishawaka Police Department released new information about the fatal train accident in Mishawaka on Thursday.
Police said a 15-year-old was standing on the north track watching an eastbound train when the teen was struck by a westbound train.
The Mishawaka Police Department and the St. Joseph County Coroner's Office has ruled the cause as accidental.
The family has asked for the teen's identity to be withheld while other family members can be notified.
