New fire station opening in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A new fire station opening ceremony will take place on Tuesday, as Mayor Buttigieg, South Bend Fire Chief, and Common Councilwoman Regina Williams cut the ribbon.

South Bend Fire Station #4 will be celebrated at 12:45 on Tuesday, June 12th. The ceremony should last a little over two hours.

The station is located at 220 North Olive Street.

The fire station is the first to be designed with green standards registered and LEED certification.

Food and refreshments will be available.
