New jobs sailing into Elkhart County

A $4.1 million investment is going into Elkhart County and jobs are coming along with it.
Smoker Craft, Inc., is expanding its boat manufacturing firm in New Paris. One hundred new jobs will be created by 2018.
For five decades Smoker Craft has been producing aluminum fishing boats as well as pontoons and now it needs more space to continue production.
Smoker Craft will renovate its existing 500,000 square foot facility and add an additional 90,000 square feet by next March.
Those interested in the new openings can begin to apply in February. Currently, Smoker Craft employs about 440 full-time workers.
