MISHAWAKA, Ind.- The new Half Priced Books in Mishawaka held a grand opening event on Thursday.
The store, which is located off of Grape Road, originally opened on Monday, but held its "great opening" celebration on Thursday, kicking off the event by offering a $100 gift card to one of the first 100 people to enter the store.
Debbie Szabo, the first winner of a gift card at the event, said, "I love the variety of it, the half price of it, there’s just something for everyone.”
Other prizes and giveaways were also offered at the party, which was hosted by the store’s mascot- a giant bookworm.
The event will continue to take place every day over the weekend as well.
