New program to give public easier access to venison

The selling, bartering, or trading of venison is illegal, which makes venison hard to come by, but one program is making it easier.
The DNR Division of Fish & Wildlife's venison donation program called “Give In” is allowing hunters to give deer meat to the public this fall.
Registration started Monday.
