New South Bend social house adds to downtown entertainment hub
SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Downtown South Bend is rounding the bases towards becoming a full-blown entertainment hub, with the new Ivy Alley Social House holding a grand opening in Dec., welcoming in customers at 321 W Wayne St., just a stones-throw away from the home of the South Bend Cubs, Four Winds Field.
With a full bar, brewery, family-style dining areas, arcade and board games, brick oven pizza as the star of the menu, 8 lanes of duckpin bowling, and being just a 10-minute walk to Four Winds Field, owner Karen Klein hopes the spot will become a place the community can come to celebrate or connect.
“We really want to bring more unity to the community, and I think that this is great place to do that… with the Cubs stadium being so close, I think it would be great… people can come here for a drink or food before they go over. Of course they have great food in the stadium too, there’s no doubt about that, but just… to have another place that they can say ‘hey South Bend has stuff going on’,” said Klein.
Ivy Alley Social House is closed on Mondays and open Tuesday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
