ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Beginning Monday, Dr. C. Todd Cummings will oversee South Bend schools and Wayne Baker will oversee Mishawaka schools.
Both Baker and Cummings have experience in administrative roles.
Baker served as the superintendent for Indiana’s Bluffton-Harrison Metropolitan School District and Cummings was the former Human Resources Director at South Bend and Fort Wayne schools.
As the Human Resources Director for South Bend schools, Cummings negotiated teacher-contracts, created leadership programs for fellow school officials, and oversaw the transportation department.
During Baker’s tenure as the superintendent of Bluffton-Harrison Metro Schools, enrollment increased and the district received a “B” state accountability grade for the 2017-2018 school year.
