New 'Titan Cadets' program helping future educators

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Nearly 50 local high schoolers are jumpstarting their future teaching careers.

Today Indiana University South Bend gave a firsthand look at its new "Titan Cadets" program which is designed to encourage students and give them the opportunity to experience college, especially minorities, and earn credits towards becoming a future educator.

47 students from South Bend, PHM, John Glenn, and Bremen schools will live on campus at IUSB this summer and take two courses where they're able to earn up to six college credits by the end of the two-week program.
