New turn in The John Edwards Trial

A high stakes confrontation, on Thursday is the latest in the John Edwards trial.

The defense has been cross-examining the former Edwards' aide, Andrew Young, for the past four days.

He is the prosecution's key witness, and they have controlled this case, until now.

Edwards' team struck back at Young, painting him as a vindictive liar who is out to get his former boss, and if they think that Young is lying, the case could be over.

Steve Friedland a Elon University Law Professor said, "It may very well be, His credibility is the foundation of the prosecution's case.  If he isn't telling the truth, the whole house may crumble.

The cross examination of Young will continue on Friday, and possibly into next week.
