HOBART, Ind.— A white Husky who bolted after being involved in single vehicle crash on I-65 has been reunited with her family in time for the new year.
According to the Indiana State Police, her owners posted about their missing dog on Facebook. Within a day, the dog was spotted by a Facebook user walking along the interstate within two miles of the scene of the crash.
Master Trooper Dwayne Halliburton tried to catch the dog, but every time the trooper would get close, she ran away.
After multiple failed attempts to nab the dog, ISP dispatch contacted the dog’s owners to meet the trooper near the 251 mile marker on I-65.
The dog ran back to her owners as soon as she saw them.
Their husky is safe at home and is doing well.
