Engaging Youth, Engaging Neighbors to launch free program

SOUTH BEND, Ind.—Engaging Youth, Engaging Neighbors is a free program that allows students in grades 7-10 to use forms of expression-art, photography and writing- to make connections in their neighborhoods.  This program begins Saturday, Oct. 17.

This program is scheduled to meet on Saturday mornings from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for ten weeks. Classes will be held via Zoom with an initial outdoor meeting to pick up supplies.

Although this is a free program, students who wish to participate are encouraged to apply now.

Applications received by Monday, Oct. 12 will get first priority.

EYEN was collaboration between Neighborhood Resources Connection and The University of Notre Dame. The program has been updated in 2020 by NRC and is a pipeline to The City of South Bend’s Youth Advisory Council sponsored by the South Bend Common Council.
