Lerner Theatre to host production of Freaky Friday the musical for Mother's Day weekend
ELKHART, Ind. – Premier Arts is back in the Lerner Theatre for its long-awaited production of Disney’s Freaky Friday - a new musical.
The story’s showcase of family love is the perfect way to not only return to the Lerner Theatre stage but also coincide with Mother’s Day weekend.
Katherine and Ellie, an overworked mother and a teenage daughter, magically swap bodies for a day.
They come to appreciate one another's struggles and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect they share for each other.
The play’s Executive Artistic Director, Craig Gibson, said “Freaky Friday is such a fun, energetic and positive show to welcome patrons to our 2021 season. The fact that it's Mother's Day weekend and this show celebrates the bond of mother and daughter is a bonus.”
The production will have three performances, and seating is limited due to social distancing practices in place.
The first showing will be on May 7th at 7:30 pm, the second showing on May 8th at 7:30 pm, and the final being on May 9th at 3:00 pm.
All showings will be at the Lerner Theatre in Elkhart, IN. Tickets will not be sold online, only at the Lerner Theatre Box Office.
