ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- On Jan. 28 at approximately 7:02 a.m., Elkhart County Sheriffs responded to a crash on S.R. 13 south of S.R. 120.

Vehicle one, a 2025 Toyota Crown driven by 32-year-old Bilal Muhammad, was driving south on S.R. 13 while Vehicle two, a 2019 Mazda CX-5 driven by 23-year-old Macy Brown, was traveling north.

The Crown crossed over the double yellow line while approaching a hill to pass several vehicles. The Crown then struck the CX-5 as it came over the hill. Both vehicles sustained heavy front-end damage.

Muhammad was transported with complaints of pain in his left wrist and Brown was transported with complaints of pain in her hips and neck.

Muhammad was cited for reckless driving-passing a double yellow on a hill.
