There is a chance of patchy fog this morning but that along with clouds will clear out. We’ll be left with plenty of sunshine this afternoon to celebrate Labor Day. Clouds move back in through tomorrow as a cold front approaches. It will bring a line of showers and thunderstorms, some of which could be strong to severe. The main threats are damaging wind and heavy rain but a weak isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
Once the cold front swings through, we are left with very Fall-like conditions through the remainder of the week. Wind will be gusty for Wednesday, creating high waves and dangerous swimming conditions along Lake Michigan.
Labor Day Monday: Clearing skies, high of 79.
Tonight: Partly to mostly clear, low of 64.
Tuesday: Increasing clouds, PM storms (possibly severe), high of 84.
Wednesday: Mostly to partly sunny, windy, high of 69.
