NILES, Mich – The Niles City Council took steps toward expanding medical marijuana businesses in the city.
The city council approved the provisional medical marijuana facility license for Rosenberg Holdings which would like to establish a medical marijuana business in the city that they say could create up to 100 jobs.
“I think the goal of Niles is to be a leader in the planning of both medicinal and recreational marijuana,” Mayor of Niles Nick Shelton said.
The City Council also heard the first reading of proposed adult use recreational marijuana opt-in ordinance along with a proposed zoning ordinance.
