Niles classmates come together for 40th reunion

Friday night doesn't just mean football, or even the start of the weekend… it means Friday Night Facebook!  Thank you for all of your event suggestions today on our Facebook page!



This week, ABC 57 headed to the Riverfront Cafe in Niles where members of the Niles High School Class of 1971 gathered for their 40th reunion!



After a tour of the high school and dinner, the class also did a balloon release for classmates who have passed away.



While we were there, a couple of high school sweethearts even got engaged!  The couple recently reconnected on Facebook!  Tonight, Rick Dvorak surprised Carol Knight by getting down on one knee in front of all of their high school friends!  Congratulations to the cute couple!



There is a lot of good cheer going on around there!   The Class of 1971 hopes to spread more of that good cheer by working together to raise funds for a park bench to donate to their alma mater.
