Niles community meeting will be held virtually after interest exceeds gathering limit
NILES, Mich.—After interest in a community meeting in the city of Niles exceeded Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Executive Order allowing gatherings up to 100 people, the meeting will now be held virtually.
On Monday, the city announced that a community meeting would be held on June 4 at 6 p.m. to address resident’s concerns.
Because of the popularity of the event, the meeting will be held on Zoom and will be limited to 1.5 hours.
Mayor Nick Shelton, Police Chief James Millin, and other guests will moderate the community meeting that will focus on national events.
