Niles family grieves loss of family dog, speaks out against pitbulls

NILES, Mich. -- A Niles family is grieving the loss of their beloved pet dog.

Peanut the Yorkie was ripped to pieces by a loose pitbull on Monday night on Howard Street.

Now, Peanut's owner is speaking out. The dog's family said they hope their case will bring about change.

ABC 57's Jillian Mahen reports.
