Niles man heading to prison for burning down F.O.P. Lodge

NILES, Mich. -- A Niles man is heading to prison for burning the F.O.P. Lodge to the ground.

On Wednesday, a judge sentenced 25-year-old Gary Nellans to two and a half years in prison.

The fire happened on March 14.

Nellans and 20-year-old Kyle Kelley pleaded guilty in June.

Police said the men got drunk, took a car and crashed into a guard rail, then stole another car, torched it and rolled it into the lodge.

Last week, a judge sentenced Kelley to five years in prison.
