Mayor Shelton says it's no surprise the donation drive has been hugely successful. After the tornado last year, residents came out to support and help each other.
The mayor says the city has put out dumpsters for residents and nine more will be coming on Saturday.
He added 60 volunteers helped collect and dispose of flood-related trash on Friday.
