No. 10 Notre Dame stays undefeated in week three matchup against NC State

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Notre Dame Fighting Irish moved to 3-0 following a 45-24 road victory over NC State this afternoon.

The game was put on hold for nearly two hours early in the second quarter due to lightning in the area.

Fighting Irish running back Audric Estime also struck the Wolfpack defense with a bolt of lightning of his own following the lengthy delay, running for an 80-yard score on the first play once the action resumed.

NC State managed to stick around and keep the game competitive before Notre Dame pulled away in the fourth quarter.

The Fighting Irish return to the friendly confines of Notre Dame Stadium for a matchup against unranked Central Michigan next week. Kickoff is set for 2:30 EST.
