ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office will not file any charges in the investigation into the alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl on Clay High School property.
The St. Joseph County Special Victims Unit conducted an investigation into the alleged incident after it was reported on February 21 to the school resource officer.
Initial reports said a 15-year-old female student was sexually assaulted at the school on February 13 at approximately 5:30 p.m.
The SVU conducted an investigation into the allegations and spoke with the alleged victim and her family.
In addition, they reviewed electronic communications between the alleged parties.
The alleged victim "made it abundantly clear that she was not sexually assaulted," according to the press release from the prosecutor's office.
Based on the alleged victim's statements, and other evidence, SVU determined no criminal activity occurred.
No charges will be filed in the case.
