Nonprofits invited to apply for Berrien County Love Your Community Grant
BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – Nonprofits in Berrien County can now apply for the $50,000 Stephen E. Upton Love Your Community Grant.
The grant, provided by the Berrien Community Foundation, will help a nonprofit organization expand their work.
“One thing all past winners have in common is that they are standing in the gap and providing services that can be life changing,” Berrien Community Foundation President Lisa Cripps-Downey said. “This grant opportunity, started by Stephen Upton to show his love for our community, is about making sure nonprofits have the resources they need to continue making a deep impact locally.”
Nonprofits have until June 1 to submit a letter of intent explaining their work. This is the first step in the application process.
After the June 1 deadline, a number of applicants will be selected to submit full grant proposals. These proposals are due in August.
The winning nonprofit will be announced at the foundation’s annual meeting in September.
