North Webster man charged with Rape, Sexual Misconduct with a Minor

Kosciusko County: Austin Dickerson

NORTH WEBSTER, Ind. -- According to documents from the Kosciusko Circuit/Superior Court, a 33-year-old North Webster man is facing charges related to sexual assault following an investigation.

The suspect, Austin Dickerson, is charged with Rape, a Level 3 Felony, and Sexual Misconduct with a Minor, a Level 4 Felony.

Dickerson's initial hearing is set for March 26.

The probable cause affidavit in this case reveals on Feb. 8, a woman reported that a minor had been sexually assaulted by Dickerson at his home in North Webster.

The victim was then taken to the Fort Wayne Sexual Assault Treatment Center for an examination.

After completing a forensic interview on Feb. 9, the victim told investigators she was at Dickerson's home in the basement when he asked for her phone and he allegedly told her to be a "good girl" and that she was safe.

The victim then alleged that Dickerson told her to make and chug a glass of Smirnoff and stated she needed to be a "good girl."

The victim said she drank it, before he told her to have another.

At this point, the victim said Dickerson began touching her inappropriately. She then asked for her phone back, which he didn't return.

The victim said Dickerson continued sexually assaulting her as he urged her to drink more alcohol. The victim said she continuously asked him to stop.

The victim told police she eventually blacked out and fell asleep.

The victim stated the next morning, Dickerson acted like nothing happened before giving her cell phone back.

Dickerson is then alleged to have asked what the victim remembered from the night prior, before saying thank you and giving the victim a hug.
