North Webster man involved in firearm accident

NORTH WEBSTER, Ind. — A man is recovering from injuries following a firearm accident at a fish and wildlife range.

The DNR reports that 26-year-old Joey Douglas was target shooting in North Webster.

He thought the chamber of his rifle was blocked by another cartridge. When he tried to get it out, the cartridge discharged. He was shot in the wrist and hand.

He was transported to the Goshen Hospital but is going to be okay.
