Northern Indiana Conference deems Riley vs. Washington game a no-contest

The Northern Indiana Conference Board of Control has deemed the cancelled February 2 Riley vs. Washington High School boys basketball game a no-contest in league standings.

The decision comes after the NIC game was cancelled for a fight in the bleachers.

The board also declared both teams as co-champions in the North-South Division of the NIC.

Penn High School won the overall NIC Boys Basketball championship with a 11-0 league mark.

A full set of NIC boys basketball standings will be released after a game on Tuesday between Marian and Elkhart high schools.
