ELKHART, Ind. - Northridge High School junior Elijah Coryn of Goshen was killed early Saturday in a crash on U.S. 20.
The details are a little uncertain.
Investigators say a Nissan Sentra that Coryn was traveling in was parked in the middle of U.S. 20 and was facing east.
A Volvo heading west on 20 hit the Nissan Sentra.
Coryn died at the scene.
In a statement, Northridge Lacrosse says, “Elijah was an incredible young man with a great heart. He was a tremendous teammate and friend and was a joy to have in our program.”
Middlebury Community Schools posted they will be offering additional mental health services for students and staff members on Monday.
"We need to share some very sad news with our MCS community. We've learned that a Northridge High School 11th grader was killed last night in a traffic accident on US 20. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted by this tragic incident. School counselors and additional mental health professionals will be available at school on Monday for any students or staff needing support."
